Physical
A well-constructed conditioning programme with specificity, overload and progression will help to keep you on course. Overtraining can have many undesirable knock-on effects that can hamper motivation. Mental
The following principles will all help to ensure players stick with conditioning programmes and do them well.

Training has to be demanding. But if it is never enjoyable, it will not be rewarding and won’t last. Rugby should, after all, be played for the challenge and the enjoyment.
