Reactivity
Working on speed of reactions and muscle memory will give you a real advantage
Reactivity, or sharpness, is determined by how well developed your neuromuscular system is and how quickly and efficiently it can get muscles to work. The balance and stabilisation work you do will provide a solid foundation for this aspect of your agility. Specific training and nutrition help to effectively develop muscle memory and speed of reaction. You can divide conditioning for reactivity into two segments.
The first is foot speed and can be improved by ladder work and plyometrics.
The second is pattern reactivity. It reflects the pattern of movements during a game. You should perform drills that
- mimic multidirectional running
- work combining changes of direction and posture
- react to external stimuli such as opponents, or through ball work
RugbyMax has an optimised level of active ingredients. They can help you develop reactivity by helping your neuromuscular system fire powerfully and for longer.
Rugby Max has creatine and B-Alanine, balanced with other ergogenic ingredients. They help you deliver rapid and powerful muscular contractions during training and matches. These rapid contractions are the fundamentals of quick reactions, good co-ordination and balance, and sudden changes of direction. This enables you to get the maximum from your reactivity work, and during match situations.
